![]() That was after a 45 minute conversion with an AT&T customer service rep. I tried the fix listed by Aloha-gal, including the article number reference, to no avail. And it silences texts from My Contacts as well, which is problematic. I'm at the point where I have to leave my phone on DO NOT DISTURB 24/24 to avoid being disturbed by spam calls and spam texts, but that only silences them, it doesn't prevent them. You, as a team of AT&T customer service reps, need to give the heads-up to your superiors that you are receiving many complaints from users who are being drowned by spam texts from email addresses, so something can actually be done at the AT&T level! If you can't do that you need to tell us where to address our complaints so they're taken seriously, as obviously posting on a forum doesn't seem to accomplish anything. However, it's clear that spammers have discovered it and implemented using that to bother people since it seems that the government is cracking down on spammers making phone CALLS. I've been an AT&T mobile user for 18 years and I've NEVER used that feature. ![]() Blocking every single individual originating email address, when the spammers keep changing addresses with each spam email, is a waste of time for us, while it should be quite easy for your programmers to install an option for users to opt-out of this feature. We are specifically requesting to be allowed to decline being able to receive any emails sent to a account.
